which motor? please read
ok, i know we all hate these "which motor should i go with" threads.. but i did my homework and i'm really stuck at the moment. i recently sold my 95 si hatch because i was tired of getting spanked by all my friends with simliar set ups. it wasn't my driving skills, it was all the weight i was hauling. well, i recently picked up a 92 CX at a great price and still have 3500 leftover. b16's seem cheap, but everyone tells me they're their torqueless wonder, and it only makes power at high RPMS. i'm leaning towards the gsr.. but the price really throws me off.. is the extra 1000-1500 worth it for 10 extra hp? wouldn't i be able to use 1500 and make my b16 just as fast, if not faster than a GSR? what are my other options?
cliff notes.
sold si hatch, picked up CX. can't decide which motor to go.. have 3500 to spend. WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH A CX HATCH AND 3500 DOLLARS?

Yeah, we do. There are plenty of ways to make a B16 faster than a B18C1 with $1500. Yes, B16's are very limited on there torque production. But I would say go with the GS-R- it's got more potential for power

I have a Fully Built Turbo GSR Motor.
Head:
Mild Port and polish
Shortblock:
Darton Sleeves
Cunningham Rods
CP Pistons
I will sell you the longblock if you want just that or I can sell you the entire swap.
Motor only: $4000
Entire Swap: $5000 (Everything you need to make it run)
No turbo included. Motor has about 300 miles on it. Transmission is a 2000 ITR with LSD. PM Me.

get the GSR! Sure you could make 10 more HP with $1500 but you won't get any more torque. Trust me, i swapped a b16 into my 95 coupe and regret not waiting 3 more weeks to save for the gsr. I mean, i like the b16, just wish it had a little more torque.
