Default Motor mounts, go with OEM or use something else?

I'm replacing the clutch on my 99 Si and have noticed that the two bottom/side mounts are ripped and need replacement. These mounts are the ones that attach to the end of the transmission on the passenger side and the other one looks like a spider at the driver's wheel side.

Should I just replace them with OEM ones or is there something better out there to replace them with? Thanks.

I just used OEM torque mounts when I did my 92 Si with a B16, I mean realistically the OEM ones in my 92 lasted 16 yrs.

Replace them with Integra Type R mounts, they are OEM and stiffer.

I've never heard about them being stiffer, but could be true, since the 99 Si and 99 GSR share same P/N, but ITR is different P/N.

Yes, the front lower torque mounts from the ITR are stiffer, along with the rear mount.

Then engine mounts look good still. So the ones from the bottom right/left are the torque mounts? Those are the ones I need.

Just get some Hasports, Innovative, or even some Hardrace mounts. Then you don't need the tq. mounts. Looks a little cleaner too.

yes those are called torque mounts. funny thing is that I just looked up the type-r part# and they are actually cheaper than the SI mounts. And the oem part is actually cheaper than what Autozone has listed.

Head over to www.hondapartsunlimited.com or similar and buy the oem pieces

With those aftermarket hard mounts, do you get alot of vibrations into the cabin? When I had a 93 Civic I had one of those hard mounts installed and the entire interior rattled like crazy.

Hardrace not so much. I have a whole set-engine and torque mounts.

I'd recommend staying with the OEM Type R mounts. I have energy suspension inserts on ONLY the torque mounts and even still I can feel the vibrations.
