Default Motor mounts

Im doing a gsr swap into my eg. The two front lower mounts are cracked and ive heard that they are not neccesary......is this true? If so im just going to leave them out.

you need them or else your motor will eventually mess something up. if you need them i have them for sale

Assuming you're referring to the tranny mount and A/C bracket mount, it's not 100% required, but I would highly recommend it.

The polyurethane mounts will have a lot of stress on them otherwise.

you can just use poly urethane inserts...makes a difference

weapon-R makes a nice motor mount kit. Its good quality and a great price.

I would run them.

You can use the ES inserts with your broken stock mounts or you can get the http://www.JIMFAB.com ones pretty cheap.

I run the jim fab

Yes simply pop in the ES inserts into a "broken" front rubber mount piece and you're good to go. Might as well pop in the rear mount insert to complete the ES kit while you've got the engine out, because once it's in that rear insert is a PITA to install.

YOu most definitly should run them. Just use the inserts like every one else said. I run the hasport rear drag mount on mine with the inserts up front. But beware, your car will vibrate more with these inserts.

I filled all my mounts with 3M window weld when I did my swap. They seem to be holding up fine.
