Default Which Motor Mounts????

I've seen this before, but the search function didn,t turn up anything.

There are 5 mounts on my 5g civic, right???

Uppur driver's side
Upper passenger side
Lower driver's side
Lower passenger side
Rear mount

Which ones will I have to replace when i do a b16a swap and are the only replacements that will work the 94+ integra mounts? I have a 95 civic with a d16z6. This is my first honda swap and i just want to have all the parts before i start working. Also, if i plan on big hp in the future, would hasport mounts be a good investment.

first question, what year B16A is it? That way we know which mounts you are starting off with.

ive never done a b16 swap into a 5gen civic or even a b16 swap period before.. but i have done many b18c1 swaps into 5gen civics.. the mounts that are needed are

Uppur driver's side civic or integra
Upper passenger side civic or integra
Lower driver's side integra
Lower passenger side integra
Rear mount integra civic mount does not line up to tranny..

i may not be 100% correct on these but im pretty sure these are the mounts that we have used in the swaps..

so let me get this strait. The upper mounts will work from my existing civic with a d16z6, but the lower mounts as well as the rear tranny mount must be replaced with the 94 or newer integra mounts.

I don't think he knows. He said that he has never done a b16a swap before.

Do some more investigation!

For a B16a1 engine into a 92-95 civic, rear engine mount is a 94 or so GS-R engine mount, driver's side mount will be a 99 civic Si. For the trans your best bet is to buy hasport's trans mount that comes with the adapter to mount your hydro slave cylinder on it. That is the best way to do it forsure hands down, i'm currently about 95% done with this swap for my brother now. Just a few bugs to work out and it's running fine.... For Ecu, check out adrian's http://www.hyperducktuning.com website out, great deal on a chipped ecu so you can use your 92-95 factory wiring harness.

Any thing else i might be able to help on, let me know

...Depends on whether he's using the cable or hydro tranny too.

Which one?

if yuo run prothane motor mounts then then you can take out the ac bracket and the trans vibration mount then uyou put the mototr mounts inserts in the upper driver side and passengers side mount and then you need a 99-00 si rear bracket and then you put the motor mounts inserts in those three you don't need to run the other two
BUT ONLY WITH THE PROTHANE INSERTS

Cable?

Spend the extra money and buy the HASport mount kit with the cable-hydro convertor. It positions everything PERFECT and is rigid enough to handle the engine without the aide of the front anti-roll mounts.

You won't have the front passenger side mount anyways because of the cable tranny's lack of mount bracket holes.

I IM'd you and AIM'd you fire - I'm in Georgia and I work at a shop here that only does Acuras and Hondas - we do swaps, engine builds, etc. too You should come by the shop or at least call me at:

(770)603-9197 that's Acura's and Honda's Specialists, and ask for me, Tom.

Good luck!
