First off.

B20 motor
Stock Mounts

I know I need after market mounts so I said it. I now have a question.

So I just put in the new driver side upper mount after I blew my first one the other day.

Everything installed correctly.

I take it out for a test drive.

Go from 1st to 2nd. pop. I hear my engine <--(I think) rub against something. It's a pretty big pop. So I drive home thinking I just blew this mount pop open the hood. No oil, no blown mount. Mount is still in good condition.

Retighten things again even though they are tight take it out again.

Same thing. I'm allmost positive it's only now rubbing against my hood. when my first mount blew my pulley was rubbing against the wall too aloing with the hood. Made a big gash..

Anyone know why this is happening now with a new mount? It never was like this with the old one until it blew.

I also took out my system and my seats which I think made the car a bit more torquier, Could that be the problem too?

You guys think the car is safe to drive?
