I've never heard of a d16a9 but im sure that's not what this one is.

It just says ZC. Nothing else.

There are two different DOHC ZC's. Your right there is one that is OBD0 and one that is OBD 1. The OBD 0 DOHC ZC came in the JDM 88-91 CRX's. The OBD1 Second Gen ZC's cam in the 92-95 EURO/JDM spec Civics. The second gen ZC also has equal length half shafts. It is very rare but it does exist. It is also way cheaper than the D16Z6, and does make more horsepower(130 VS 125). The JDM D15B u are reffering to is a SOHC 1.5L VTEC. It also makes 130 HP, but only 106 foot pounds of torque I believe. It also cam in the 92-95 Civics.

both of the dohc zc are obd0. one came in the 84-87 crx and civic it has a black valve cover. the other came in the 88-91 civic/crx and it has a dark brown valve cover. there is no obd1 dohc zc. the only obd1 zc is a 1.6 sohc vtec that makes 130ps (128hp)

Theres a 1.6 zc DOHC and a 1.6 zc SOHC MOTOR... 1.6 zc DOHC came stock in 88 integra non-vtec..Dont know what the 1.6 zc SOHC was stock in.. Im putting the 1.6 zc DOHC in my 88 civic sedan... It all bolts up the same,,i have to use ECU from integra and do a little rewire of fuel inj... Should run very well. I know people who raced them back in the day in new zeland and europe also got cars from mugen honda.. Ive been told there a very good motor....

Hey everyone I was wondering if anyone could help me out on identify my honda motor.it's a non vtec dohc and on the block it has zc and only numbers on the stamp.also it is a 5 speed with a p28 computer in it I'm needing to replace the distributor but I don't know which one I will need.but the big plug in has 7 wires and the small one has 2 wires if anyone has any idea I would really appreciate it thanks.

Can anyone tell me what zc motor I have I need a distributor for it...on the engine stamp it has zc2212372...it is a non vtec dohc and it's a 5 speed with a p28 computer if anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it thanks

Maybe back then this was a record. Recently I think I saw NARC yelling at someone for bumping a 12 year old thread not that long ago. I think that's the oldest I've seen so far.

I believe the P28 that normally runs a D16Z6 is expecting to see a TD42U distributor. Now please, don't bump really really old threads. Instead make a few posts in the Introductions section to reach your minimum 5 posts or whatnot then come here and create a new thread.
