motor dies everytime I stop
Just like the title says, I can't figure it out. When ever I stop it will die, and or it just ldles at 380-500, it kinda fluctuates. Sometimes when it dies, it lets out a little moan in the intake, also it backfires a lot. When I looked at my back bumper there is a lot more soot than before. This is on a 00 civic ex.

i had fluctuating idle. I went to Honda, got a rotor and a cap for 38 bucks. My car idles fine now. Don't cheap out and get crappy stuff, go to Honda, get the good stuff. Don't cheap out on ur car and you car wont cheap out on you.
I don't know why I didn't think of that.
