Default motor decision...need opinions

I need opinions...If budget was a factor, would you go ahead and spend $400 on a sohc vtec motor (d16z6) or just save until you have enough to buy a b series like a b16 or a b18. I also was thinking about a sohc vtec turbo setup...and that will still be cheaper than a b series motor...

well then again it depends on the car, if your runnin a hatch then id just say if all you can afford is the 400 then go with it....but if your runnin a coupe, then i would save alittle more until you can get a b16 or b18...

and sorry to post again, but a turbo d16 would also be pretty nice...build it alittle bit and see what happens...do alittle searching for yourself and see what you want to do...but if looking for turbo, then check out this site...

Personally I can't justify spending $3000 at once on my car, especially on a motor that I wouldn't be able to insure. Thats why I have stayed SOHC.
