motor build questions

NOW im going to be straight up please can we stay on topic and if you dont know a for sure answer please dont wast my time. not trying to be an *** but want to get straight to the point.


now with that being said I have built a GSR b18c1 fully built less then 30 miles ago and im already throwing a rod bearing. NOT A PROBLEM im going to take it to a different shop and have it done right this time.

now my question is I am using right now stock type R cams in my build but was wondering if I can go with a way better cam and keep vtec or should i use a set of cams that kills vtec? i like how vtec kicks in so id prefer to keep vtec please keep this in mind. Im also going to turbo it this time around so i need some input on a decent turbo build. Im not going to say money is not a problem because im an average guy and far from rich so this is going to take me a few months to do so lets try to keep "price vs performance in a decent range for the money"

here is a list of what i have done to the motor now please let me know if I need to change anything what cams to go with and what turbo parts to go with. never mind the prices this is a copy and past of my blue print so far

I will change the transmission to an LSD so no worries there.

my plans are to build a stupid fast drag car for car show purposes. this car will be my "drag car / show car / weekend car". its a 92 civic hatch which when I get done will be a jaw droper front mag cover type car so be on the look out and stay tuned.

im going to start on stripping the car tomorrow so i will open another thread with a start to finish on everything and with you all helping will play a big part in my build this is why i say at the top please lets stick to the point and not get carried away
