Motor is bogging after VTEC engages
Hi guys. Sorry I'm a nooby. I'm having problems with my motor and need help.
Car Info:
96 Civic Hatchback DX
Swap Info:
Complete JDM 94 GSR block
Complete USDM 97 ITR Head
GSR transmission
- Used stock wiring harness from 96 civic motor, with added vtec wires.
- Used jumper harness in order to use P28 chipped with ebay JUN chip (VTEC at 6100 rpm) and no rev limiter
- Cams are not tuned yet.
One weird thing: (sorry I'm a nooby but i'm pretty sure you guys know what i'm talking about)
In order for the check engine light to go off, the sensor on the manifold near the throttle body is splice with one of the fuel injector wires and the other is goes to the ECM. (Not sure why my brother in law's friend did this. We we trying imitate to see if the engine light goes off and it did)
So that is the background of my set up as for now. Most of the time when I punch my car, my motor usually bogs after VTEC engagement. There are times when there isn't anything and it works fines. What is wrong with my set up?? Has anyone ever experienced this? What else can I do with my wirings to improve my set-up? I need your help. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys

Aight guys. Thanks for all your help.
Update:
What was wrong with my set up was the distributor. The cap was crap.
Thanks again everyone.
