Can you describe the noise? How long has it been since you changes oil? WHen was the last time you CHECKED the oil???
Please give a few more details so we can help diagnose the issue.. how many miles on the car?

If you bought it and it was low and you put more oil in it and didn't check it again for 3000 miles that makes you pretty silly. I guess you can start by changing the oil lol. I bet its toast though. Hopefully you have a 93 civic or something where the engines are cheap. Good luck.

if u had to add 2 quarts between oils changes, thats a sure sign of a bad motor. and with the clicking and clanking noises, i feel bad for ya'. good luck with the new motor!!! lucky for you single cams are pretty cheap!!!
