More info about JDM D15B Vtec
I`m trying to find some more information about the JDM D15B Vtec. I`m looking on one of many JDM`s websites and I found this one: http://www.jdmenginedepot.com/jdm_en...nda_D15B_Civic
When I swap out my D16 for this, is there anything I need to know? I know the O2 sensor for the D16, correct me if I`m wrong, is a four wire where the JDM D15B is a one wire? As well as the mounts are the exact same.
Also, what tranny would go well with it? I forgot to mention, I`m running a `95 EX coupe.
And as I said earlier, I don`t care about spending 1500 on a B series. So please, no "why are you going with a D15 rather than a B series", thanks.

Your set. It's the most direct swap there is right now. I reused my d15b7 O2 sensor w/ a P28 and gave my one wire O2 sensor to my friend w/ a b18a1. The one wire sensor works fine.Your mounts will work(check em while your there). There is no wiring crap cause you have an EX. REUSE YOUR EX TRANNY!

Just like foo fighter said, its a direct swap. I had the exact same setup as you did, a 95 Civic EX and when I swapped it out for a D15B I used everything straight from my D16.

Re: More info about JDM D15B Vtec
I am afraid to use my Z6 tranny because before I had my girl, my dad never changed the tranny fluid. So the 16 years of crap is holding it together, and I`m afraid that if I opened the tranny, black stuff would ooz out of the case lol. And it`s an auto, I forgot to mention.
Also, now that I`m looking for parts for the D15B, I look for parts that fit a 1.5l D15b Vtec right?

you get mostly d16z6 parts, mostly. You should go manual trans. if your want to FEEL much of anything, otherwise you will need to re-use your tranny. FYI 5spd can be bought w/ the motor and you can use your auto ECU.

If I re-used my Z6 tranny I have now, wouldn`t I have to get it re-built since it has over 250K on it and the fluid has not been changed in well over 10years?
I wanted to open another thread, but I`m just to lazy. What sites have you or anyone used that has quality parts? Rather than googling honda parts, I`m thinking it would be easier to ask.
