i curently have a jdm d15b (AND yes it is vtec... lol) in my 93eg hatch with about 50k on it with acouple bolt ons, injen 3in cold air, ebay headers w/ stock exaust and some ngk spark wires. and im looking for more horses... i dont wanna go turbo.YET. but i wanna get the most outta my motor with out messing with my internals so if i can get any input that would be great.
and dont waist ur time n say drop a b series. :/

You can Try:
Intake Manifold
2 1/4 Inch Piping
4-1 Headers
And maybe some real good suspension....To make sure ALL your power is going to the wheels..........there's probably more...just can't think right now...

does it mater wat brand headers? as long as there 4-1?
and i could get skunk2 intake mani from my friend but i heard that u should only drop that if ur dropping a turbo...

no turbo or not your motor needs to breathe and you have big intake pipeing but allot of the velocity is lost going into the stock intake manifold so yes intake mani and throttle body will open it up more

Put the Skunk2 intake manifold and a bigger Throttle body, but a real 4 to1 header like DC sport or even the T1Racing header costly but proven power, you get your money worth for sure with the T1Racing header, then you will have to get a Fuel Regulator to adjust the air fuel ratio because you allowing more air into the intake so its required, I learn that from experience and also then get your ecu chipped or buy a complete chipped ecu from Phearable.net and then get the car tune by someone who know what they doing...If you really want to get a little more deep into it then you can put a Skunk2 cam gear and get someone with a Dial test indicator (DTI) to dial in your stock camshaft better for more peak power and then tune the car, you will notice a big difference...

Hey buddy.. Another thing if you do plan on changing your intake and exhaust your going to be getting the air into the block and out of the block way faster you might want to look into changing your fuel delivery to help prevent from braking anything.

I agree. If you have the itch to modify than spend your time and money on things that won't be changed later. Intake and exhaust in your case would simply be a waste of money.

I would recommend upgrading your suspension and brakes first. These are absolutely essential for a turbo build. Not to mention the new life you will be breathing into your car will motivate you to get more power.

Because it is inaccurate. The amount of power you would gain from intake and exhaust would not require any "fuel upgrades". Only a built NA engine, or forced induction would require you to upgrade injectors, pump, or tuning.

Again, save your money! Research! Have a plan!

So many people waste their time and money with projects that change. Think of the big picture. Focus on what you want the final product to be, and only make purchases that contribute to that car.

If you are absolutely itching to spend money and time....

GSR brake swap front & rear
Upgraded Brake master cylinder & booster
Stainless Steel brake lines
Good set of brake pads (not Napa pads - Hawk, Ferodo, EBC)
Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings
New ball-joints
New Tie rod ends inner & outer
New Shocks and Springs/ Coilovers
Sway bars / upgraded sway bars

As you can see, there are lots of things that your turbo car will need to handle all of the power you will have. Without replacing worn steering, upgrading brakes and suspension, you will have problems controlling it.

I am building a Supercharged GSR Hatch right now. Before I could even think about buying, planning, and researching all of the power mods, I had to get the chassis up to par. The list above is pretty much what I have done to prep my Eg hatch for 230whp.

Take your time, do LOTS of research, buy the right parts once, and enjoy your car!

I just looked up that alot of people that dont choose to boost there cars end up just getting there ecu chipped like from such honda data or AEM chrome ect there is a done of names out there if researched right there are people making large gains from them.

you have a 1.5 liter, what kind of mad power do you expect to make out of a motor that weighs less than the computer you typed this up on?

I/H/E is about all you can do, once you start playing with timing/fuel management on your SOHC without a turbo or any internal work, your really just wasting your time.

my bad yes i found usually should only need to change the fuel delivery if boosted.. The stock ecu should be able to condensate for the more air and change the fuel on its own depending on aslong as its not boosted thanks guys

dood just save for a turbo. buy it piece by piece you will have all of it before you know it. trust me. thats what i did and its not that bad. if you can try and find quality name brand used parts!

Intake is no good without an exaust and vise versa. Not all headers are the same and not all 4-1 headers are the same. When it come to headers you pay for what you get. Pully's can save parasitic drag of the crank but most aftermarket crank pulley's can unbalance the engine and cause damage. A good tune will help you out more then anything. Cams if you can find them for your motor will still be only moderate... Conclusion is full build N/A internals (very costly, Save for a turbo, or ... well.. you asked me not to say it but you know.
