Re: momo steering wheel install dilemna! help (igo4bmx)
if you follow the cable reel harness back about 6" down the steering column there's a connector.unhook that and take out the 3 or 4 screws that secure it and it'll come
right off.

your horn don't work b/c you need to bypass the horn relay after removal of cruise control. my non-srs wheel horn works perfect after this mod

it isn't hard at all to make the horn usable.i have the Tekniq quick realease that has contacts that pass through the detachable hub,so you can still use the steering wheel buttons....you could also mount a button anywhere on the dash for the horn.....remember where you unplugged the cable reel?on the car side of that plug, one of those wires(sorry, been a while so i can't remember which one)is the ground for the horn.find it and extend it to a switch(whether it be your horn button or a button mounted elsewhere).hook it to one pole of the switch and ground the other side of the switch.when you hit the button and complete the circuit,it grounds the horn circuit and it blows-simple as that....BTW-my car is an EX that had cruise, and this is all i did to make the horn work-no bypassing relays or anything of that nature.
