Default Mods

hey guys, i have a 1999 civic dx, i just lowered it 3 inches front and back, and i am spray painting the hubs black, all i can afford, so my question is do u guys know any mods that i can make for a budget of about $20-$30, no performance for now, except if you guys know how i can make my own intake, either short ram or cold air, doesnt matter, i just want the deeper sound to the car. so can u guys tell me some stuff i can do to the outside or the inside for little money so i can make it look better, ill upload some pics.

Leave the hubcaps stock and you can get a short ram intake pipe from Autozone for $40.

do not paint the hubs leave them as they are.
do not go with 20 dolar home made intake. that will just make your car look trashy.
save up some cans, do something to get some money .
well you can buy a filter and put it on your OEM pipe it will give you a deep sound and little more pull.
but that **** is still ugly.

+props for having a 5sp sedan.

I have a friend willing to trade a VIRGIN Del Sol VTEC (B16A3) for a clean titled 99-00 EX sedan.

ebay intake, problem is you live in cali and a ebay intake isnt carb legal.
just hold out and save maybe look for a used intake that is carb legal.
take that 20 and buy a 3m head light resotr kit, and clean up the lights.

Think about how many times you shift. You should start with your shift console if you're only doing small stuff.

You can get an ITR shift boot for 20-25 shipped, and Skunk2 shift ***** are pretty cheap too, often used from 25 and up and new around 40-50.

Although, if I were you, I would concentrate on performance before looks. You could cheaply get yourself an eBay front upper strut bar for the engine bay and a rear upper strut bar for the trunk and install them both in about 30 minutes.

If you want more, you can get a new NRG front lower H brace for about 40 bucks (don't get an eBay or Megan or other cheap front lower tie bar as most of them hang too low and will scrape the ground), and a rear lower tie bar. These will all increase your handling and should cost you less than 100 altogether for all 4 bars.

good luck passing smog with a ebay chip.
ah struts bars hardly do anything. save your money for some sway bars, if you really want to make a difference.

Strut bars made a huge difference on my car. Sway bars are more of a noticeable difference than strut bars, but the OP was talking cheap.

yea, so cheep there really is no point about asking about mods.
op sorry for being a dick but 20-30 is bearly enough to a good job painting wheels.
let alone moddifying a car.
you could put different color lights in you climate control and cluster but there goes, 20 maybe more
but even strut bars will blow your budget with one.

i was kidding about the chip I though everyone knew.

but like 98civicdx said 20-30 will barely get you a full tank of gas.
c'mon seriously though
