Which model
Which model & year Honda, if any, came with the following configuration:
1.6L SOHC VTEK ZC engine
S20 A000 trans
I am new to Honda & don't know where to look for this kind of information.
Any help would be appreciated so I can order the correct clutch kit.
BTW, I have this combination in a 2000 Civic EX

Re: Which model
S20 A000 Trans is the DX/LX/CX/VX small bearing transmission. The Final Drive ratio will differentiate which one. Any Exedy clutch kit for a 92-00 DX/LX/CX/VX/EX and 92-95 Si will work.
This is assuming your S20 is a hydro transmission. I'm not sure what the '88 cable trans was labelled. It has a different spline count on the input shaft and would be the one D series transmission that would mess up my previous statements.

Re: Which model
I picked up a clutch kit with flywheel for a 2000 EX. I asked if the ZC motor made a difference and they said it did not. However, they were expecting the car to have an S40 trans and I have the S20. Needless to say, the clutch does not work. Kit for 2000 EX is not the right one.
There is a lot of travel on the throw out bearing fork and right at the end of the travel it barely touches the pressure plate.
Another problem I had was 2 of the 3 rivets on top of the pressure plate were just grazing an allen head plug on the trans. I took about .050" off the plug head and that problem stopped.
Is there any model other than the Civic that this engine/trans came stock in?

Moved to the transmission section so the experts can provide information.
