modding a d16y7, anyone in here with this setup?
my d16y7 only has 30k miles on it so I'm probably gonna play with this motor first. Has anyone thrown a y8 head on with the skunk2 cam and skunk2 intake mani? If so, what kind of gains would I be looking at? After that, I plan on turboing it. Any insight is appreciated.

As I've said in my PMs back and forth with you, I would just get the Skunk2 or Edlebrock intake mani and turbo what you have. Unless you can get the head/ECM dirt cheap, I would just save that extra money for boost.

I have a Y8 with the SK2 stage 1 cam.
Still have the stock intake mani. I've hear good things about it. Also good things about the Edlebrock mani.
Heres some reading for you.

if u haven't already ditch that tranny for an ex tranny, best bang for buck. after that if u don't wanna do a head swap there are quite a few cam options for the y7 head.
