Default To mod or not to mod? 99 civic si...

I find that having a Damn near stock (motor wise) Em1 is very rare in itself. Even the a/c works! I lways get lots of compliments on the mostly stock engine bay that is always detailed and shining . All I have really touched/done to my car is a nice suspension system, wheels, Gsr leathers, Rsx steering wheel, along with other misc spoon parts. My last Em1 was a all out build. Dont know if i really want to even touch it. All it has is a intake and a Color matched valve cover.
If i did even touch it it would be with Oem parts I.e. ITR header and a nice exhaust. As of today i found a Mint Gsr Oem header with heatshield. My Oem header was cracked and bent up and minus a heat shield when i bought the car. This got me thinkin of leaving the car be and just making a nice clean car to enjoy with mostly Oem parts.
The car is also clean titled with the matching vins for car, tranny, motor. What would you do with the car if you had it? Here are a few pics...

I like the route you've already taken, small tasteful mods here and there, nothing that can't be made stock again. Makes a really nice DD, that you can still be happy with.

I really don't understand the hype with the OEM ITR header.

There are so many better options for similar money.

Car looks great, I would just keep it simple. Maybe go back to OEM wheels and get some really sticky tires and start autocrossing it.

What have you done to the suspension?

Car looks like a jewel. I probably would keep it just like that if it was mine.
Although I've always thought it would be so cool to own an EM1 with a factory stock B18C5. I guess that would be the craziest thing I would want to do to it, if I owned it.

Basically stock with Koni shocks and Teins S-techs. Ride is pretty good. With the rear lip it should look alot lower than what it does. I want to go through the entire suspension and replace bushings, joints, mounts ect...to bring it back up to par.

I could definitely get along with a b18c5. Just do the whole swap. The transmission is extra sweet.

I agree I saw a s2k Toda header and my jaws dropped. Dont get me wrong a B18c5 swap would be nice. There's just not too many numbers matching em1 si's anymore.

Different wheels although if you wouldn't mind taking down the last two pictures as those are when the car was under my ownership, thank you.

Post up what it looks like now .

Yeah, this is correct. I love the power of my B18C-R swap...but I kinda wished it still had the numbers matching B16A2 in it. All my body panels are 100% OEM original. So I kinda wish that ALL the numbers matched. But whatever. No going back now lol.

Just keep it stock. It's rare finding an unmolested Civic. It already feels a little wrong what I'm going to a 4 door automatic, putting an Integra engine in.

Where did you pick up that color matched valve cover? I have a 99 EX with 205k miles. I bought it from a good friend because I was driving 150 miles round trip every day for work and couldn't justify driving the pathfinder I had at the time. It's been garaged for the last two years because I switched jobs and was carpooling. I just got it out and want to restore it with the same idea as you. Keep it mostly OEM but little touches here and there. That valve cover looks nice.
