mixed valves
i recently added an eagle crank kit (eagle crank, h beam rods and SRP pistons), block bored 20 over and the guy that did the job for me said he couldnt guarantee the head unless i let him check it out
so while breaking it down he bent a valve (skunk2) so he looked and couldnt find just one valve...he put ferrera valves all on one side (intake or exhaust i cant remember) and there r the original skunk2 valves on the other side
he told me that it would b ok like that and that it isnt going to hurt anything
i just want to know what u out there think....will it b ok like that

Re: mixed valves (bpkmrtoes)
i have no idea y he was dismantling the head he said he was checking the retainers and what-not but he said he bent it while trying to take the valve out...something about the spring....but he said that everything needed to b checked because im gonna boost it later so he was checking to make sure everything would handle what i gave it
he also said (which kinda disturbed me) that if he didnt tell me anything i would have never known the difference
and i have one question....how r ferrera valves compared to skunk2

Its not going to make any difference at all. Valves are individual parts that dont interact with each other.
Ferrera are better than skunk2. I hope he isnt charging you full price for something that he damaged.
Get a receipt for them, verify its what they are, instead of just 1 stock valve.
Id also ask for the bent valve.

he isnt charging me anything at all but i find it odd that he didnt replace all the valves if he couldnt find just one he said he would have to buy the whole kit (16) but he only put in 8

Not that I know, but it is possible Ferrera sells them in sets of 8... 8 intake or 8 exhaust, because theyre a high end company for race engines, it would be understandable to break 1-4 in a cylinder, but not the others.
For example, Supertech sells their valvesprings individually.
Rather than just buying 1, you get a matching set.
Talk to the guy, rather than asking here for speculation. The only person who knows why he did that is him.
