Mitsubishi alternator in 92 civic hb?
sup peeps, got another general question again, the other day i noticed that i had a alternator with a mitsubishi sticker on it and was wondering since something in my car keeps draining my battery if that was the cause or not. I bought the hatch with it in it and had no idea it had that alternator in it, but its been good for about 1 1/2 years until now. I took the alternator off and tested it and it was still good however.
I used to have a sub/amp setup in my car but i disconnected the amp and sub but the cables are still there, but i doubt thats the case. I replaced my starter, got a new battery that keeps draining in about 5-10 days. I also got a CIN on that im bout to get fixed but i heard thats just emissions problems, u guys got any suggestions?

you could also just pull the alt out n' take it to your nearest auto part store for a free test.

Re: (Del Sol SiR)
the alternator should be putting out around 14 volts.
as for mitsu making the alternator, there are many manufacturers of alternators..
A couple things to check:
1.) How old is your battery, they genearlly last only 5 years (there should be a date on the battery
2.) Have you load tested your battery?
4.) What is the voltage when the car is running? (does it fluctuate a lot)
So you have disconnected the cables for the amplifier at the battery correct?
I am thinking that you might just need a new battery.

battery is new, bought it in March of this year, everytime i have it recharged they say its still good, the alternator has been taken out and tested and thats good too, but i havent found the little test sheet they gave me yet to see how many volts its putting out, and yes i disconnected the amp/sub wires from the battery.
thanx for the support guys, any other suggestions?

your power wires for the amp...
are they still connected to the battery?
if they are, the uninsulated tips could be grounding out where they used to be connected...
try dissconnecting the amp power wire from the battery, if you haven't done so already...

Seems that the OP is going to have to start hunting. Does your battery get drained while driving or while the car is non-operational?

the un-insulated ends at the amp could just be shorting/grounding out.. causing a constant drain...
he did not state he disconnected the power wire from the battery terminal...
also he should wrap those uninsulated ends in some eletrical tape.. if they are just lying around....

Re-read my post above yours. I quoted the OP and he clearly states, if you read more than his original post (you know, the one I quoted), and he states that he disconnected the wires from the battery.
