Mistakenly left MAP unplugged and trouble insued...
So I was tinkering around today, and for some reason I decided to unplug the MAP sensor on my D15, and forgot to plug it back in. When I went out to the store a little later I started it up and it idled really low for a few seconds and then the CEL came on and the idle jumped up and stayed somewhat high. I just put on a new distributor so I thought it might be the problem, and decided to drive it to the store and back to see if it continued. On the way, it hesitated pretty bad on acceleration, and on the way back it kept reving up over and over again, bouncing up and down. When I got back I remembered it was the stupid sensor. I plugged it in, started up the car and it died right away. I started it up again and it ran fine, and few test starts afterward.
I didn't damage anything did I? Is it normal for the car to act this way with the MAP unplugged? Thanks.
