Default missing

so the other day i was standing outside my car and noticed (94 civic d16z6) that it sounded like it was missing every now and then it sounded like "brrrrrrrr puff brrrrrrr puff brrr"

hehe not the best description but whatever. the car has 162000 miles on it and not to long ago i swtiched cap, rotor, plugs, and fuel filter.

it only does this at idle. i have also noticed everytime i do valve adj. my exhaust side is loose and not my intake side. so could this all come from a worn exhaust cam lobe???

I had the same thing with my car. I found all the post about idle problems. So I gave it a try and cleaned the iacv. After running the car for a short trip the idle smoothed right out. It really sounded like the car had a stumble....or was missing very similar to what you have described
