Default misfiring and serious bogging at VERY low RPMs.

This is a weird question, but it's an issue that's present in my car that's bugging me.
94 Civic EX
stock SOHC motor (d16z6)
When flooring it with very LOW RPMs (I'm talking doing 30 MPH and flooring it in 4th gear) the engine sputters and misfires like crazy.

The 30 MPH in 4th gear thing is just an example to show what kind of RPMs it takes to get it to do this. I don't actually drive like that.

Likewise it'll do it going down the highway at around 55 in 5th gear and when I give it a bit of gas it'll sometimes sputter like that too.
Anybody know what the problem may be?

Just changed the plugs not too long ago.
Cap and rotor are both good and have clean contacts
wires are damn near new
fuel filter is new

Did an oil change yesterday (not like it matters)

So yeah, I'm looking for suggestions here as to what I should check.

throwing any codes?
i've had the same issue a few times, have always come down to dirty injectors, and i don't know why.

does it drive fine if you keep it revved pretty high?

No codes.

And yeah, if I keep the RPMs up it's fine.
It only gets about 22 mpg though.

Seems a bit low to me. Even with my big 255 lb *** in there it should still be getting better mileage than that, no? Could dirty injectors cause that?

I guess I might be yanking the injectors this weekend to check the strainers in there. I bought this car as my beater/to and from work car, so I really haven't been too kind to it.

Other than dirty injectors nobody else has anything?

Instead of just saying "eh, they look good" - I'd replace the rotor 'n cap.

Just did that about 5K miles ago.
All I did the other day was scrape the crusty stuff that builds up on the contacts off.

My car would bog to no end and when I went to replace the plugs I found out that the #4 plug was loose. Might not be the case, but you can always check.

Yeah, usually that stuff is ignition related.

Did you try a different distributor?

Distributors aren't exactly cheap to the point where I can just pick one up and use it in my trial and error troubleshooting.

I checked the plugs when I did my oil change the other day and they were fine. Cleaned them up with a wire brush and regapped them. They're also not loose. 100% sure of that.

Now, you guys say it's ignition related. If that was the case, why would it only do it when the accelerator is floored and the RPMs are below 1700? Once they get to around 2,000 RPM the thing runs fine.

My car did the same thing a while back, it was only my plugs and wires, so try those out.
