Default Mini swap no V-TEC wired in ?

Dear honda buffs,

I'm new to the scene, I finished my Mini swap but
didn't wire-up the V-tec because of need for an ECU. My problem starts like this. I'm getting oil leaking from the far transmission side of the engine (between head and block). I checked the torque on the head bolts and every things is 55ft pounds. The harder you drive the car the the more oil leaks. My three questions are if 1. if the V-tec is not wire would my oil pressure on the transmission side (were the v-tec located) rise at speed? 2. if the timing belt is to tight could that be causing the oil to leak? 3. You got any idea's?

thanks,

1. no 2. doubt it, but would cause a lot worse scenerio like strip cam caps, and timinig belt teeth. 3. all hondas leak right there, its one of these 3 things in most probable order: 1. valve gover gasket, dont forget to use gasket maker brown n color (dont be afraid to use the hell outta this stuff, especially n the corners). 2. distributer seal (dont think u can get this from a parts store, so take ur dizzy off and go up there to match a oring to the exact size, i think its 1 and 1/4 inch but i could easily b wrong. 3. ur vtec solenoid is leaking so either replace the gasket (u can only get it from honda and its like 30 bucks or so) or use gasket maker and b careful not to get it into the solenoid and ul still have to run the old gasket while doing this cause its got a lil screen. Let the stuff dry a day if u can and u should b good to go

oh yeah u wire the vtec into the harness at the ecu, so u could go ahead and do that untill u get a ecu. if ur civic is a 92 u can plug straight into the shock tower harness and not have to run it through the firewall
