Default Mini-me wont start....

I finished my mini-me swap the other day (took 4 months to get all my stuff together and three weeks to do it!!!!), went to start and all it does is turn over. I have gas and spark and i know i have compression (11:1). I also have no codes at all. The only thing that i might have to do is turn the cam gear one more tooth counter-clockwise but that shouldn't make it so it cant start should it? even if so i played around with the distributor (moving it back and forth cuz i heard it advanced an retards the timing) but it still wont start. any suggestions on what could possibly be wrong? Thanks

it could be alot of things, the dizzy could be 180 degrees out, missing a ground like the tranny ground, ect.. are you sure you are getting spark and fuel?

the only ground thats not perfectly grounded is the valve cover ground, could that be it? also, i didn't know the distributor could be 180 due to the way the bolts hook up to the head. Also, i know i have fuel and spark. I took a spark plug off and turned it over and i have good spark. and i didn't have my fuel bolt hooked up properly to my fuel fail so i was leaking fuel so had to tighten it so thats how i knew i had fuel. I also took my spark plugs off and sprayed starting fuel in all four pistons and it still wouldn't start.

i took the dizzy off and tried turning the ..... thing... in it 180 degrees and when i tried to put it back on it simply wouldn't go. so i turned it back 180 degrees again and it slid right in, so idk. i do believe i have it on right.

my friend just came out and checked it out and re-adjusted my TDC and everything (it was one tooth off) and it still wont start. he has done this swap to three other cars and he doesn't know why it wont atleast sputter when it turns over. NO codes, its getting fuel, spark is excellent, compression is excellent. idk, we even used starting fluid to try and get it running and still no luck. Does anyone have ANY ideas at all? I am getting ready to cry if i dont get this running soon. Thanks

if you use starting fluid and it didnt start then it definatley has to be something electrical... either bad distributor, wires, timing off, ecu faulty... ect.

good distributor, spark wires and spark plugs are brand new, timing is exact, ECU is the same as i have been using since i bought the car (p28). Also, i took the head down to a race shop and had it professionally cleaned up and readjusted. Shouldn't the car atleast sputter when i try to start it?

well if its not starting but you are getting fuel then when you pull the plugs they should be covered in gas are they?

oh yeah and if your cam is off by a tooth either direction it will still start, just run lean or rich... if it is 2 or more it might not start

timing belt is directly on, not even one tooth off. also, i went to my exhaust and i tried cranking it over and i could smell exhaust. so its burning the gas.

it could be that your injectors are cloged, when i did my swap, the injectors that came with the new engine were cloged from sitting with old gas in them for so long, check them out.

i swapped out my injectors from my other head cuz they were new injectors. I knew they were good cuz i have exhaust. I turned it over for about 10 secs and had my brother back at my exhaust and exhaust was coming out. so i have combustion. WHY WONT THIS ****** START!?!?!?!?!

This sounds gay man... Well The ONLY thing i can think of now is if the ECU fuse is properly in place in the panel. If not the car wont start but will turn over. Check it..This sounds fuel or spark related. If it was timing it would sound retarded when trying to start and not normal. good luck....

thanks, i just checked ALL the fuses, they are all fine. if it was a fuel/spark issue then why would i be getting exhaust out my exhaust pipe?
