my friends gf has a 2000 civic dx hatch. shes the got the y7 dx motor in the car and the head we have a is a y8. i need to know wat i have to wire up as far as vtec knock sensor and w/e else. ive searched like crazy and havent found ne1 whos done this swap/build. i kno dual cams so this hole single cam frankenstein is new to me. help is greatly appreciated, no flames please. i am acura/honda tech but not 100% sure on wat to do.

you need a vtec computer for one, then you have to modify the y7 harness for the vtec among other things. I don't know if the 2000 needs the IACV fix. also the vtec computer will be looking for a knock sensor, which the y7 block doesn't have, however the block is already tapped on the back for the sensor, you just have to get one, and wire it. the 99-00 y8 intake manifold has holes on it for a cold start air injection system, but the y7 civic isn't set up for it, you'll probably need to plug these. the exaust header is different, but it'll work. there's a lot of info on the mini-me, good luck

do you know where i can find a wiring diagram/shcematic( how to wire) the mini me head and terminal pinout's for the ecu connectors

You need to run 4 wires to the ecu for the VTEC solenoid, VTEC pressure switch, one of the two IACV wires, and knock sensor.

Search up "ecu diagram" in the archives and you'll find the pin locations.

You have to do the IACV fix, which is shown below
run the 2 wires for vtec to the ecu
one vtec solenoid wire gets grounded
and one for the knock sensor
