mini me timing

mini me timing
i just finished up my mini me and with i went to time i, the marks were way off. when i shinned the timing light down they were about an inch apart. how do i get the ignition timing right on??? i put a skunk2 cam in it with an adjustable cam gear.

i would double check your timing and make sure it tdc
what black and head are you useing? if you used a d15 block did you change your timing belt to a hx.. i belive thats what is is.. not 100% sure
try turing the dizzy

Use the belt from the block. If you used a d15xx use the timing belt from a d15xx.

Good advice.
What I would do is go back through, and make sure everything is TDC. After you know everything is right on, tension the timing belt, and move to the dizzy. Take the cap off the dizzy and make sure that the rotor is pointing to cylinder 1. After replace the cap, and just double check everything. Let us know how you're doing after that.

Your cam gear should have a little arrow on it. You want that arrow to point straight up. I'm almost possitive you use the d15b7 belt. PM bambam. There was a minime swap in my del sol before i ripped it out, and it was pretty quick. jordan (bambam) built it. Hes extremely smart and really really knows his ****.
