SEARCHING is your best friend. But to point you in the right direction, you will need either a d16y8 head complete from a 96-00 EX or a Z6 head, up to you. You will also need a ECU P28 is good because of tuning capabilities, and you also have to wire up vtec. Search this on google its been covered numerous times. Gl

Re: Mini Me swap questions?
I just did mine up, same motor, different year.
There are several excellent walkthroughs available, though there are several paths you can take and none of the walkthroughs cover them all. So there is no master list of things you have to buy and where you can get them. You will likely have to start crawling through junkyards and collecting the parts you need. Watch ebay, craig's list, and this forum for other assistance too. The process is likely to require some extra adaptation and having an expert with you would be extremely helpful. This is a simple exchange, but because of the different variables, you dont want to half *** it and try to throw it together in one afternoon.
basic needs- (all D16)
y8 intake manifold (5spd)
y8 Throttle body (off of a 5spd)
y8 head
y8 fuel rail with y8 injectors (DO NOT REUSE THE y7s!)
Wiring diagram
An ECU with VTEC that either fits your existing harness, or a harness to convert to whatever OBD version you have/want.
Knock Sensor, or a knock sensor trick (like a piezo transmitter from radio shack; its a quick fix but its always better to have the actual sensor)
depending on the ECU you use, and the original donor car, you may need other resistors to kill engine lights too. For example I did a 97 del sol s, but my original donor head and ECU came from a 96 civic-so the ECU was looking for a fuel tank sensor that the Sol didn't have. Your mileage may vary.
(I personally went with the OBD2a p28, which was only available in two years of production of the del sol si, 96-97. On the later del sols its plug in play without any additional harness changes since its obd2. Its not supposed to be as chippable as the older OBD1 P28s, but I didn't care.)
definitely print out the different walkthroughs and talk to someone who knows what they are doing. It took me about 3 months of research and securing parts before it went together, another 3 weeks of tuning it to run right, and now it rips up the road, and the mileage is still decent- I was getting 40 regularly at stock and I'm still getting about 36 now. (the colder weather up here may also be cutting into that.)

You need a Z6 or y8 head with the ignition, also you will need the z6 or y8 timming belt with a p28 ecu which you can get on ebay for about 50 to 75 bucks.. If you need info on how to do the swap let me know.... Having all the parts the swap only takes about 4 to 5 hrs start to finish...
