Default Mini-me swap - d16y7 block + JDM d15b (P08) VTEC head

Okay so I have a d16y7 block with a JDM d15b head currently peiced together and runs but without the proper ECU It has the stock p2e and wiring harness from a 96 dx hatch but I want to complete the swap. What would I need to finish it? Thank you for any help.

Would an OBD1 head in an OBD2 car pass emissions in your state/country?

What ECU do you plan to use?

My state doesn't do emissions so I wash going to use a p2e ECU and chip it with a p08-1 chip but I have no idea how to go about completing the swap after that

You can't chip an OBD2 ECU.

Most P28 ECUs are OBD1, but some are OBD2.

But you could chip an OBD1 P28.

Yes.

You need to run VTEC wires to the ECU, and you won't need the CKF sensor. You should be able to use the OBD2 wires for other sensors, but some connectors may need swapping. Does the P08 head come with a distributor and its connectors?

Please check out the FAQs sticky for mini-me swaps.

Note that the VTEC wires comment was meant for the set up using the proper ECU, which obviously requires VTEC.
