Mini Me Swap or complete SOHC v-tec swap?
KEEP THE NEGATIVE STUFF OUT
just trying to get some positive input
okay i have a 92 ferio with a stock lx motor in in, the mielage is 218,xxx right now but runs healthy because the previous owners took good care of the car.
what im looking to do is a swap but nothing flashy just a lil more power than i got right now, ive had cars with v-tec and i would like this car to have that lil kick to it.
Could i do a mini me swap and switch out heads and replace ecu and wire up for v-tec or should i just do a full swap?
also if anyone knows how much roughly around the price range of the mini me or complete swap would be just post it up plz

is the couple hundred bucks just for the motor only? any recommendations on a motor also? i was thinking about the d16y8 but then i would need to change out the ecu, wires for v-tec and iono if i could use the stock tranny i got.

well i was thinking about going b series but its more expensive and i figured that the SOHC v-tec would be cheaper.
but if i can get a good price on a b16 that would be okay

bought my y8 motor for 100$
bought my y7 motor for 150$
p28 obd1 ecu 110$
rywire vtec harness. Like 40$
rywire obd2-obd1 dist harness40$
reuse transmission. it bolts right up free.
y7/y8 mini me runnin low 15's for under 500$. thats pretty cheap.
thats what my friend spent on his setup. i have the same setup but my y8 got a full valve job, 230$ at sfl machine and crank in greenacres.
and the block i replaced all the bearings, rings, water pump timing belt oil pump pickup tube and head gasket set. dont remember what i paid for all that but it was prob 300-400$ my price at honda.
