Hello.....just did a mini me D16Z6 head/D15B3 block(carb before)...I am using a P13 ecu which used with a H22....my question is will the ecu auto adjust the fuel mixture for the 1.5L engine or not and if it does will I have any extra power using this ECU.....thanks...........

i don't think you could have found a worse ecu for that setup. when using the wrong ecu, you make less power, not more. you should look for a p28.

the ignition and fuel maps are way off. the accord and prelude ecus are a different family of ecus than the B and D series are, although a b series ecu wouldn't work too well anyways. I'm sure it runs the car, but not the way it should. Could you explain why you think it makes more power?

I have nothing to restrict the intake,nothing to block the exhaust and the ignition timing is O.K cuz the dizzy is set to default position and the engine is running fine.....what I think is that more fuel would produce more power but it wont rich out because of the Oxy sensor......

when tuning your ignition/fuel maps, you make more power on the ignition side, you don't gain much on the fuel side. The H22 ignition maps are way off d series maps. I promise you you're losing power there. As far as the fuel is concerned, the ecu thinks its running 345 cc injectors but its really running 240 cc injectors, so if anything you'll run leaner. But the o2 will adjust it to add more fuel. A p28 is your best bet. You'll be faster and probably get better gas milage too.

The problem is that we dont get ECU's here like you people get......its by chance that I would get a p28....right now I have a P13 so what do you think I could do to improve performance.....Thanks

the problem is that you can't really chip a p13 like you can chip a B or D series ecu (going back to it being in a different family of ecus). If you could chip it, you could put whatever fuel maps you want on it. Go to http://www.pgmfi.org and search the forums. Thats a message board site dedicated to ecus and tuning. You'll find a lot of good info there.

I know about chipping but there is no editor for the p13....Crome is getting there but it will take time.....the only thing I can use is the ROMEDITOR for Nissan...so I need to reduce fuel values.....

you could mail order a pre-chipped ecu...even if availability sucks....i cant remember the damn site for the life of me thogh
