Default Mini me redline

i got a d15b7 block with a d16z6 head and a p28ecu what would be to redline at without messing with the block? 7,000? because my d15b7 redlined at 6500

I believe the d16z6 redlines between 6250 and 6500rpms

i think i am right in saying that redline for the most part, in single cam motors is restricted by the valvetrain (floating valves and damaging cam lobes being the result of over reving). of course at some point you could toss a rod but i think other things would break first if the motor is put together well.

my point is, rev to the z6 redline. so long as the oil pump can keep up you'll be fine.

are you sure its safe to redline 7200 everyday on a b7 block?

well day to day driving shouldn't require redline that much, but yeah when you need to go up there you shouldn't have any worries.
