mini me IACV 2-3 wire trouble need help
ok this is sorta complicated well not really, i did a d16y7 to y8 mini me swap, problem is i bought the complete head from a 99 y8 auto. so the intake manifold is different from the one that would come in a manual. Thing is I already did everything but connect the Vtec ecu.
ok so here is the thing since the IM from the auto has the IACV on the TB and uses 3 pins, and i need two pins to connect the vtec ecu, can i just remove the orange wire.
or in other words can i still use to 3 wire plug on the IACV (from the ato IM 3 pins) like a 2 wire plug if i were to delete the orange wire and change the black and blue wire from A14 to A12...I don't know if it makes since.
if you can make any since of it please let me inform me if you know a solution other than buying and installing a manual IM

No you have to use the two wire IACV with the manual P2P ECU because the 3 wire IACV works differently electrically/mechanically from the two wire (http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...ained-967.html). But you can do this

alright, so if i run the y8 head with out vtec and turbo it (vitara set up) do you think it would be better than a y7. I heard the y8 flows much better, and that vtec just complicates things when tunning.
