we tried y8 injectors at first and it ran for a bit and then threw the code 43, tried the y7 injectors, and same prob, then i hooked up the y7 intake mani and it worked ok, sputtering here and there.

Is the fuel pump any diff between the Y7 and Y8's?

If so, might wanna make sure it's capable of it...I don't see how it wouldn't be..but ya never know with these injected electronic POS's .

Anyways....more info.

Do you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key to the "on" position but DO NOT start it? What's your fuel pressure when cranking it?

I just found out that the y8 manifold that I have has air injection, 99-00. I have to plug some holes up. you think that could've been the culprit?

the thing in the rear was for cruise control, the injector side has four holes, one above each injector that used sir injection and an extra vac thing, im going to jb welb all the holes and the vac and I'm pretty sure it will work. Wish me luck

i just put a vac cap on the nipple for the air injection, havn't had a problem with it yet. seems overkill to take off the mani and ruin it with jb weld.

i had a z6 head on my y7 the timing as always goofy, and ran funny. check to make shure that your plug wires arnt mixed up AND that your not 180* out of time, the car will still run when your 180 out.

should get a y8 head thats what i did before i did a full y8 swap.

I was told that this was a y8 head, but it had a z6 camgear on it. the valves look like y8 ones. it also came with a bare y8 intake mani so i do belive it is a y8.

thats good cuase the y8 flows the best. you can run that p-28 ecu with that head you need to get a obd2 - obd1 jumper harness.
