Default Mini-me, finally on and running, need help with a few kinks

Ok my mini-me with p28 is on and running. When I give it gas it seems to cut for like a half second before the rpms go up. Also, there is a ticking noise, so the valve clearnace may be off. I was able to drive the car up and down the drive way but it was weak and seemed like it was going to die several times. Anyway, its throwing o2 codes as well, but the o2 sensor is brand new! Anyway, please help, I compression tested it and got 250 kpa on all 4 cylinders. WHat is the valve clearance supposed to be for d16y8?

you sure about that spooned-ek? I Just asked a guy who works for honda and he said the y7 block didnt have the oil control jet, and when i had the head off i didnt see any golden jet in the orfice for it (oval opening rear center of block). I don't want to have to get a new head gasket, and take off the entire head just becuase i got the wrong info.

i dont think there is, i got the car working pretty well now except it still sounds a smidge off. I took it up to 6k and didnt notice any obvious vtec engagement, it is throwing an 02 CEL, would that stop vtec engagment?

Thanks
Dan

That's really weird....I have a minime in my eg and I throw a O2 sensor code too. I tried three different o2 sensor and it still throw the car. It only throw the code with a stock p28 ecu. It doesn't do it when I tried a chip p28 ecu. If you figure out what it wrong with yours, please im me.

Yeah it is weird, I threw in 2 differnet ones today, both known to be working and i still threw a 1 and a 41.

My vtec isnt engaging and im throwing a code 22 i checked the pressure switch, it has continuity, and the harness has voltage. Could the solenoid filter be clogged or something ? My haynes said if it was clogged the ecu would throw a CEL, but i don't knwo if anyone has delt with it. Should I buy an oil pressure gauge and test the O.P. as described in the book?
