has anyone actually done a dyno on a y7, y8 mini me swap?

We did, put 186whp. Although that was boosting 7psi as well.

If that calc is correct (y7 piston-to-deck height of zero), then the y7/y8 minime would be just under 10:1 with the y8 HG. The y8 yeilds 9.6:1 - meaning... you would technically be seeing just a bit more than a stock y8. Although...the carbon on a stock y8 would bring it close to the cleaned y7's numbers.

I'm hoping that's true. I know you showed me the dyno before, but damn I have a hard time believing my setup has that potential. Even though I only have I/E. (btw thanks for that mini me modded y8 ecu. Worked out great)

my friend has 128hp and i think 98 for torque on a D15 w/a D16 head with a VAFC. Not the same, but in the ballpark.
