Hey, I just swapped a D16y8 Head on my D16y8 Block. There are no codes when i use the P2E ECU from my y7. But, when I use the P2P ECU from the y8, i throw a code P1508 IACV Malfunction.

What causes this and what can be done to fix it? I used the Intake manifold from my y7 Head by the way.

Your manifold has a 3-wire IACV, and the ECU is looking for a 2-wire IACV. Is your car a '96-'98 or a '99-'00?

My car is a 97, the head is off a 96

Thanks, One more question though, will i need to find a 2-wire iacv plug if I'm using my old Intake manifold, it is three-wire. So will it still work if i change the pinouts at the ECU? if not, I'm thinking of just using my old ECU with a vtec controller or v-afc.
