Mini-me....another chapter....
first off the only money i spent on this swap was 5 quarts of oil and an oil filter, that is the only reason why the minime was even attempted...
1992 Civic Hatch CX
d15b7 engine
d16z6 head
d16z6 timing belt
d15b7 headgastet used, converted to 2 layer, copper spray
d15b7 Distributor (not gonna tell how i got that to work, cause if you can't figure it out you shouldn't be working on a car!)
d15b7 spark plug wires (once again, if you can't figure it out don't try this at home)
b18c5 throttle body
d15b7 throttle cable
d15b7 throttle cable holder (thing that goes on intake manifold)
wire brush and a drill to clean off block and head
lots of brake cleaner
special chad fab'd tool to take off crank pulley
STOCK CX HEADER (this thing is killing me!~!!!!)
first off....if you are doing this to your car get the d16z6 tranny....the long gears in the dx tranny suck!!! would be much more fun to drive with better gearing!
this is a straight forward swap....anyone with tools and some mechanical ability should be able to do it. i did it and i have READ NOTHING ON THIS SWAP...just went by hearsay!!!
hardest part of the swap would be getting the crank pulley off.....if not for that one 17mm bolt that was seized this would have been completed in under 2 hours!!!!
impressions.....WOW....not!! it is just another d series underpowered no torque engine!!! but with the right tranny and 4.7 or 4.9 final drive and tuning i think it would be pretty even with a b16 or ls swap (STOCK SWAPS)...if i can round up the 500 for a final drive i will let you all know!
why am i not impressed with this swap? let's see this is what has been in my car while i have owned it in the last 2 years....

as you can see i'm use to power so that is why this swap isn't for me, and was only done cause it was saturday afternoon and i had nothing better to do!
the minime is only in there till the b20vtec gets rebuilt.....
