i think you need to do it on a 1.6 block. i believe if you were to do the swap onto a 1.5, you would loose compression and it wouldn't work too well. it may not even fit. i'm not too sure though.. i'm sure you could pick up an entire sohc vtec for cheap since everyone pulls them for b series.

yeah, im not sure about the 1.5L.

SOHC's are very capable of making power. Mini-me is one of the easiest hybrids to do because the parts are cheap and it literally bolts right on. No moving of dowels and crap. It bolts on, and u swap the ECU and ur good to go.

Keep searching the net for info on the 1.5L part of the deal

1.6 is bad enough, don't even bother with a 1.5.

i completely disagree. sohc vtecs are capable of running NA or FI. it can keep up with a 1st gen b16. just because everyone agrees on swapping engines from a dohc transplant, doesn't necessarily mean you can't have gains on a mini-me. they are capable of putting out a 14 sec. run. if you're up for it. come join this board. they can possibly help you out.

i could easily make an allmotor b16 beat a turbo sohc. less money spent too.
