mini-me?
Ok so heres the deal im ran out of cash for the build on my d-16y8, currently have a d-15 in my car. However, i had bought srp pistons and eagle h beam rods for the y8, but will they go in the d-15 is the bore the same? Basically what i was thinking was a little nos on the mini me with forged pistons (so i wont worry). Any help will be greatly appreciated.

the bore is the same but the y8 has a stroke of 90 mm where the d15b7 is 84.5 mm so make sure the rods are for the block you have

Theres a thread on upgrades for a single cam but its mostly bolt ons.. I'd really like to learn about some of this stuff too. I have a 92 hatch with a D15b7.. I plan on swapping the head with a Z6. Now.. What could be the best cam to put with this setup? I'm going to have the basic bolt ons.. I\H\E and etc.
Also, I read that the 92 EG's were pre wired for VTEC. Can someone get into a little more detail about this? I have never worked with a Honda before (my first honda but not first car, I'm going to use this car as my daily driver).
The engine right now has 153,000 miles. I plan on changing the injectors, water pump, Mini Me Swap (Head, Dizzy), etc. But what else do you guys recommend that I change in the car? What usually causes troubles with D15B7's at 153k? Sorry for so many questions

I have a Z6 head if u need one....let it go cheap...
Anyway I'd upgrade rods and get new rod bolts (unless you think yours are good enough and if you are trying to do it on a budget but its always good to do it right the first time), get new bearings and probably get the crank balanced.

search is your friend, I got the zex 59300 stage 2 cam, and valvesprings in my mini exact same sexut as u but i have 140k and it runs like i champ, but my motor has been taken care of.

damn! i am looking for stuff to do a mini-me on my EG LX. i am planning to get like a Z6 and a Z8 i think it is and swap em on. i don't know thatht much info about the 2 items. I can't really find info on them, or how to do the swap. When i get them, should i also change internals? haha i don't know. i need an idea on what to get and stuff. I read some stuff in Honda-Tuning and BaulyCivic's Mini-me swap on his LX. so i don't know what to do. where to start.

Yeah, I'm just a little lazy sometimes on the searching and all. (Been busy working on my 89 stang hatch, 306 running high 10s on motor) But i've read that FAQ.. Actually printed it out to read at work.
I was thinking of replacing the rods ofcourse.
I'm concidering also going with the Apex'i WS catback exhaust. My friends Si sounds mad nice with it (he's running a b16a though (sounds great to hear him crack VTEC).. Don't know how it will feel on a SOHC) Feel free to share your experiences
