MIL indicator for 89 Civic

Need some help with the check engine light coming on. Pull the passenger side front carpet and the ECU is blinking 12. Can someone tell me what it's indicating? This is a 89 Civic automatic 1.5L. Thanks.

12 is the exhaust gas recirculation system.

How do I fix/troubleshoot that? Is it just one sensor need replacing? What's the error code for the O2 sensor?

Wrong forum

He gave you the code for the EGR valve, try and replace that and reset the ecu.
