A real good friend of mine has a ek with an h22 swap. Its fast as hell. I dont know the cost of the swap at a shop. We do our own swaps. It more difficult than a b-16/18. But not much. You can get a book called Honda engine swaps by Aaron Bonk. He takes you step by step through the prosesses. HCI mag azine had an issue last year on step by step of how to an h22 into a EK.

If you already have the swap then it wouldn't be too bad, but if you still have to buy the swap, I would personally save up for the K20. Definately an awesome platform with lots of potential. A Frankensteined increase in displacement is only a K24 powered car crash away!
I can't wait to do one myself. I'm trying to get my friend to buy this silver 96-98 hatch thats at the Honda dealership here. . . and strap a K20 in there! He may bitch out and go B18C5 (or B18C5 spec) instead, but still a good choice.
