Re: megan short shifters?
I hear mixed things about b&m.
They come with an extra spacer...and everybody who mentioned using that spacer had no problems...so maybe people who have them rattle bought used ones and didn't get that spacer...I might be wrong they may just be shitty...I will say my buddy had one on his cavalier and it worked out good until he got in a wreck *not his fault lol*
Don't have any reference for the megan ones.

Why? Why would you waste your time/money with a questionable shifter, when you can buy any oem 94-01 integra dual bend and get the desired results and have no issues....

Go with a Fidanza I use it in all my builds cheap and reliable. Megan's are okay b&m are overpriced but they work. Any shifter will rattle if not installed right.

Thanks Deetz!
I'm going on a junkyard run to get a few parts this weekend or next so I'll be on the lookout for a teg...I was gonna pull the gauge cluster from one to experiment with anyways.

Re: megan short shifters?
For anybody who was looking into putting the teg dual bend in place of the civic shifter...here is an awesome DIY writeup
http://www.d-series.org/forums/diy-f...nto-civic.html
If you land one of those and some new bushings...you'd still be spending less than alot of shifters cost.
@SpecialBrownie...it seemed like the ones who complained about the rattling were also the ones who didn't mention the spacers so it makes sense

Re: megan short shifters?
There's places that sell for just as cheap as ebay...and use paypal, and garaunteed new in package and always come with the spacers.
Type B&M Shifter civic into google shopping...I did a search a little while ago out of curiousity and alot of the places used paypal and had costs very similar to ebay.

I got mine from SUMMIT along with the bushings.
The B&M comes with more than enough spacers. You need more for a b series and only two for a D. Also comes supplied with lubricant and instructions. A+ buy.

I'm sure they work fine, I don't see why they wouldn't. They aren't going to break, especially if they're steel. I agree with Deetz though. Integra shifter is where it's at.

Re: megan short shifters?
Okay, here's how the B&M shifter works. You get the shifter exactly as that picture looks, you get a pack of specific o rings and a thing of lube. You take your STOCK CIVIC BEARING and replace the 4 o rings that are on it with the ones supplied by B&M. You pop it in to the B&M and level it out (it'll "level out" regardless when you mount it). Get under the car, lube the right things up, and if you have a D series, pop one set of o rings on the shifter. Same size, one on each side of the shifter, squished between the shifter mount and the shifter itself, the directions will tell you which set of the rings to use. Do that and wham! 30-40% shorter throws for like what? $50 new from Summit? Plus an extra $10 for new ES bushings?!
No brainer perosnally. but do what you want man, it's all you.
