Mechanical water temp
I've searched up and down this site and basically all I've found are a few people who own one that have tapped in the heater line or the upper rad hose. I'm just trying to see if anyone else has anything done. It's a big sensor with a 1/2 NPT mounting nut, where exactly can you tee that into without it looking nasty?
I don't wanna hear "sell it and buy electronic!!" I bought mechanical...nothing constructive to say then don't.
So let's see them...if any exist!

Re: Mechanical water temp (Pure Sol)
there is a hose that runs behind the thermostat from the block to the head its a big loop. That seems to be the best spot I have found. Use a steel T from the hardware store I used a 1/2npt T fitting and 2 5/8 adapters to clamp the hose to it and just screw the sender into the other part of the T. And remove one bend out of the loop where this T would go. Also I used honda bond on the threads, teflon seemed to leak.
