DO it yourself...save the cash. Brakes, and header shouldn't be too hard to replace.

That's a ripoff.

Header you can do, brakes you can do.

The bushings you'll need to get pressed out to be replaced. $50 tops for that.

the bushings will be difficult and unless you know much about suspension i would take it in for that. but for the other stuff i would do it yourself, but that does sound much just for the labor.

yeh the shop around here charges 50 bucks per side for the lca bushings.

i just get the oem brake pads myself. and i do everything on my car with hand tools. a little elbow grease is all you need, and trying not to bang your hand into the car when that bolt comes loose.

The 2 bolts that hold the caliper. Sometimes you will fight to get them loose.

Assuming I understand you correctly, the bushings could be taken out with a drill press/hammer and some handy work with correct size sockets (using them for mock bushing sizes - templates so to speak.) Replacing the bushings are a little bit different in that I'm not sure how you'd go about lining things up right. I took the stuff off my car, and drove to the local tire store (in another vehicle obviously), and I told them what i wanted and they charged me $5 for bushing install back into the arm. As for brake pads...

I didn't mean for overkill. As for prices, I just buy my pads from autozone...$17.99 with lifetime warranty...

So the price is with parts and labor i assume?
How much was he charging you for a new header?
Seems a bit high to me, plus you can definately swap your brake pads yourself, within an hour or 2 tops!

Good luck

I've never done a Header Install before, but I know brake swaps are easy. My first time it took me two hours, with beer and TV in between. So it really would have taken me an hour or so.

Do those yourself, save tons of money there, and take it in for the bushings

The brakes and header are easy to install.

The bushings are a different story if you've nevre done them before.. Chisel, heatgun, hammer, threaded rod, two sockets two nuts to fit said threaded rod, a washer or three and some determination and you can easily push those bushings out and push another in.

If you DIY, remember to get an alignment after reinstalling the trailing arms.
