I have a 1996 Honda Civic Sedan EX (CND) 60,000km on it and I was wondering what the maximum towing capacity is? I was thinking about towing a small folding trailer. Thanks!

The instruction booklet for your vehicle clearly states that you are NOT to tow with it, period.

Pictures of said trailor, and weight?

If it's light enough, I don't see why not... but what would you be towing with said small folding trailor?

Honestly, get a buddy with a truck or something...

u can probably pull bout 1k pounds with it. My dads friend pulls his jetski with a 94 corrolla with a whooping 115hp

but on the other side u could be looking at brake failure and messing up your chassis.

Corolla is a bigger car than a Civic... 1K is definitely way over the towing capacity, he's looking at more like... 400-500 lbs safely. Remember, it's not all about going, he has to stop it too. If you really think a Civic can pull and stop an extra thousand pounds... welllll it was nice knowing ya.

if the trailoer had its own brakes, it would work, i suppose, but integra brakes (designed for a car 300 KG heavier) wouldent hurt either. lastly a H22 or B20 swap would provide the grunt up front. still, im just theorising

True the manual does say your car is not designed for towing, but these same people busting your *****, also think a Civic is a sports car after bolting on $10k worth of ****. go figure
