max rpm's on y7

Default max rpm's on y7

okkk, i have a bonestock y7, except for an ebay intake with k&n, and i recently got a 99-00 si cluster so i know can read my rpms, i have been revving the car to 5500, but am not sure if i should/can rev any higher without damaging anything,
cliffs, max rpms on y7 for safest max power????

it's probably around 6500, but most will tell you not to bother reving that high because it's not gonna get you anywhere. as you said , it's bone stock and with it being a dseries it's not gonna matter if you rev it that high . i would just shift at around 3.5k.

i think i have a freak motor, i have already taken any d16y8 out there, and have beaten a manual scion tc, so im trying to get as much power out of this car as i can untill i boost in like 4 months thanks

so you're gonna boost a motor that someone told you not to rev past 6500rpm... that'll get boring son

are you serious, just caz there is no v-tec, and im not revving past 6500, its going to get boring, is competing with b18c5 swaps boring to you, esp. when you only spend 1000-1500, the hp and tq almost stay constant throughout the the powerband, so 200 whp is acheived with 200tq, have you ever driven a turbo sohc son???

106 bhp @ 6200
Redline: 7100 rpm
103 lb-ft @ 4600

those are the actual specs on the y7. boost will be fun on it, i plan on getting one too.
