Max RPM with mini me and P08
So i had to trade my Cherokee to get a decent commuter for a job i recently took (driving about 70 miles a day)...as you read, keep in mind, the car was $1700 and looks ugly as sin...i.e. it has "NITRO POWERED" decals that i can't get off without a heat gun.
1992 Civic DX
stock D15B7 with Z6 head, intake, and dizzy
P08 ECU (dude said he couldn't find any P28's)
I know the Z6 head is good to at least 7000, but what about the D15 bottom end? Isn't the redline like 6500 on those? And the P08...is there any truth to the presumably mythical quote, "its got a better fuel curve for this car"? How does that tie in with being able to spin this engine to 7000? 7500?
I've read the JDM D15B is good to 8000, but that is a different animal mostly with a taller deck and slightly better R/S. Although this is mostly a bunch of speculation, i will say that this car pulls harder up top than my old '93 ex coupe and it had the same mods and was probably in better shape (192-198 comp across all 4 cyl.).
Thoughts?
