Master cylinder/power booster gasket?
is there a gasket or need for a gasket where the master cylinder bolts to the power booster? im fixing to replace my master cylinder due loss of brake pressure and this is my last place to check, i was told my booster could be filled with the missing fluid. is it true? i know ill need more fluid but i haven't found the leak in the system. the caliper seals, hoses, and wheel cylinders are all good and no holes in the metal lines. 94 DX coupe

Re: Master cylinder/power booster gasket?
you shouldn't need one if the one on it isnt crumbled away and if you do just make one
and yes you can get a bunch of brake fluid in there and it will ruin the brake booster eventually

Re: Master cylinder/power booster gasket?
is there a way to test the booster before i remove the master cylinder? someone used rtv to make a gasket ( before me )but i see no leaks near it or in any component else were. so im thinking its leaked into the booster.
