Master cylinder issue?
HI,
The winter beater: Civic 4 doors 1992 manual,
Since a little while my brake were really not working well, I had to push the pedal much more than it should to brake. My rear brake needed to be done so I figured it could be it, after changing the rear brake it was worst. Now the car is just not braking at all.
- the brake oil little pan is full
- I bleeded the 4 line on each brake
- There is no oil leak
- if I remove the 'cover' of the drum and press on the brake, you see that the system works but not enough pression to slow the car down I guess.
What could it be?
Thx

make sure your rear brakes are adjusted tight enough...if it were the master cylinder you would push in your pedal and it would slowly go to the floor... but they do go bad on fifth gens all the time both of mine went on me and so did my buddys so good luck

brake booster, I dont know how to check them but turn on the car and make sure is all quiet (turn off the radio and roll up the windows) slowly press the pedal and you may be able to hear a whistle noise if so that means that the booster is bad, the noise is vaccum from the engine into the booster, that would also mean that the master cylinder is leaking inside the booster.
